Re: NEW!!! How to Embed a YouTube Video on This Board Hello All!
I was Inky over at AW, though I haven't really been there in so long that my name has probably collected cobwebs ;D
Re: NEW!!! How to Embed a YouTube Video on This Board Frank, you totally know Inky. Now, you need to talk real slow-like and explain to both of us how to put up avatars!
I know how to resize, but I can't figure out where to go to upload it now!
Re: NEW!!! How to Embed a YouTube Video on This Board Jenna, just go to the Control Panel - Change Misc. Options - Avatar and Location.
I'm not certain if you can upload one directly from your computer or not. What I've done is load the image at Photobucket and then linked to it from there.

Re: NEW!!! How to Embed a YouTube Video on This Board Photobucket....*smacks head* why didn't I think of that?
*remembers blonde hair*
Ah, yeah, well...pfff...I'm automatically exempt from having to think things all the way through
Re: NEW!!! How to Embed a YouTube Video on This Board Well dur, I knew you had to stash your image out on teh interwebs somewheres and link to it, but I too totally blanked on Photobucket. Frankie-boi gets a prop in his techno-weenie beanie for that one.
Re: NEW!!! How to Embed a YouTube Video on This Board It seems that the way to post a YouTube video has changed, once again. I'm guessing that's why Frank had trouble with the Rita McNeal video yesterday, and I struggled with the duck video I just posted.
This is the code for the video I just posted:
http://youtu.be/6k01DIVDJlY
Recent instructions on Runboard say to enter that video where it says "LOL" as usual but type in as "youtube=" (without the quotes) and use only the code to the right of the slash, immediately after that. In other words, the above video code should be entered as:
youtube=6k01DIVDJlY
Then like magic it shows up in the options to "pick this video."
Runboard is keeping us on our toes.
Frank, perhaps you can fine tune what I wrote and add it to the sticky up top?
Re: NEW!!! How to Embed a YouTube Video on This Board Hey there, hope you don't mind me adding my 2 cents but as a Moderator for Runboard I like to help when I can. The easiest way to add a video is to type the following command (using open and close brackets instead of quotes). When you look at a youtube video, take the 11 characters after the = sign.
"youtube=oIgOuFww9lk"
You will get this.
FYI, that is a video from the Runboard Support board. You can find a TON of cool tips and help there.
