Kitty, get back here! If you don’t, I shall undertake a mission to compel you to do so. Mrs. Cur has allowed as how there is nothing scarier than Cur with a goal. Capisce?
Hey Ol' Cur, I posted a little something in the Silence thread yesterday. It's in the WooWoo forum, so maybe that's why you didn't notice it. I've been reading your travel diary, nevertheless. Good stuff. Keep crankin' it out!
Many years ago my parents packed us three kids in the back seat of the old car, along with the dog, and drove us out to the Dakotas and Montana for our two-week summer vacation. Wonderful memories, despite the stuffy tent we had to set up every night. 'Twas back in the days before people got those fancy campers.
Good thing you and the Mrs. are doing your thing(s) before the weather gets too blasted hot.
(This computer doesn't spellcheck, I've noticed.)

Re: Down the Road
Hey Cur! Even though I figure the only way I'll ever travel outside of SC or the nearby state of GA would be if someone wanted to trot me around embalmed in a coffin ...I just wanted you to know I'm greatly enjoying reading about y'alls travels.
You are also quite funny! (a talent I'm sure helps to keep you on the good side of Mrs. Cur)

Re: Down the Road
Frank, the deer were lined up for hay with gravy.
Chunky, here's a wave back atcha.
Lynn, I appreciate your kind comment. Alas, humor holds no sway with Mrs. Cur. Once we were walking along in a desert, not far off the road. But pretty much in the geographic middle of nowhere. I don't recall where. Mebbe in the desert southwest. A rattlesnake did what they do. Sumbitch rattled. Mrs. Cur shook her head sharply. Said to the snake, "This is your ground, bub, but I shall walk through here without interference. Would you like to snuggle down for a nap in my handbag?" Damn if the snake didn't nod. Mrs. Cur lowered her vast handbag to the ground, opened it, rearranged a few hundred pounds of woman things so the critter could slither in. Mrs. Cur rose, looked at me, smiled, and said, "Bite me." I had no reply.
Damn snake still lives in our dank cave. After a spell of time we named him Wayne La Pierre.

Re: Down the Road
I'm enjoying reading about your travels too, Cur. I'd love to visit Yellowstone. It sounds like my kind of trip. VERY jealous!
