Happy Solstice
Today, around 7 PM Eastern time, the Summer Solstice begins. This is an extremely important day for Wiccans, Druids, Pagans and others of Nature-based belief systems.
We'll get more sunlight today than any other day of the year and here in southern Ontario, that sunlight is packing a wallop. We're in the mid-30sC here (95F) with a humidex well into the 40s.
I will sit outside this evening, as per usual, and marvel at the world around me. Appreciation is a form of prayer. And I like to think the birds, flowers and breezes sense it, and approve.

Re: Happy Solstice
Yep, 'tis an auspicious (and bloody hot) day. Mother Earth will appreciate your appreciation, Frank.
I'll go out later in the evening, gaze at the stars above me, and search for spaceships.

Sue will be doing her wiccan thing today and tomorrow, and I will benefit by being the guinea pig for any gustatory experiments.

Knew I saw it somewhere! So your wife decided to stick with the old tried-and-true, huh? No experimenting?

Nah, she was feeling a bit under the weather, so we had baked pork chops, mashed potatoes and some nice fresh peas and green beans. Yummage!
